Summary

The collection and transport of specimens are important steps in bacteriological diagnosis. Using blood cultures and sputum as examples, the need for close collaboration between the laboratory and the clinic is demonstrated.

Die Entnahme und der Transport von Untersuchungsmaterial sind wichtige Schritte im Hinblick auf die bakteriologische Diagnose. Am Beispiel von Blutkulturen und Sputum wird die Notwendigkeit einer engen Zusammenarbeit zwischen Laboratorium und Klinik aufgezeigt.
