Zusammenfassung

An fünf Stämmen der SpeziesKlebsiella pneumoniae wurde untersucht, ob sich zwischen Cephalothin als herkömmlichem Cephalosporin einerseits und den neuen Cephalosporinen Cefoxitin, Cefuroxim und Cefamandol andererseits Parallelresistenzen entwickeln. Ausgeprägte Parallelresistenzen fanden sich nur zwischen Cephalothin und Cefamandol.

Summary

Five strais ofKlebsiella pneumoniae were investigated in order to see whether parallel resistance developed between cephalothin, an older cephalosporin, on the one hand and the new cephalosporins cefoxitin, cefuroxime and cefamandole on the other hand. Marked parallel resistance was found only between cephalothin and cefamandole.
