Summary
The variables involved in the in vitro determination of the sensitivity of anaerobes to erythromycin have been investigated. It is suggested that previous studies may have presented an inaccurate picture of the in vitro sensitivity of anaerobes to erythromycin and it is concluded that the organisms are more sensitive to this antibiotic than previous reports have indicated.
