Summary

The presence and distribution of HBV markers were investigated in diabetic patients in comparison with healthy blood donors in Palermo. Statistical analysis showed that significant differences exist only in the prevalence of the anti-HBc marker, which occurs more frequently in diabetics treated with oral hypoglycemic therapy only.
