Zusammenfassung

Es wird gezeigt, daß ψ°-dioxo-valeriansäure als Abbauprodukt von °-Amino-lävulinsäure im Urin frei auftritt. Ob und wie dieser Abbau reguliert wird, steht jedoch noch offen.

Summary

The author demonstrates that ψ°-dioxo-valeric acid occurs in its free form in the urine as breakdown product of metabolism of °-amino-levulinic acid. Whether and how this metabolic degradation is regulated is still unknown.
