Zusammenfassung

Es wird über die Messung der Häufigkeitsverteilung von Blutzellen verschiedenen Volumens unter Verwendung eines Coulter Counter, an den ein Vielkanal-Impulshöhenanalysator angeschlossen ist, berichtet. Dabei wird auf die weitverbreitete Fehldeutung der vom Coulter Counter gelieferten Verteilungskurven hingewiesen und die Problematik der Kurven an Hand von widersprüchlichen Veröffentlichungen beleuchtet.

Summary

The paper deals with measurements of the frequency distribution of blood cell volumes by use of a Coulter Counter combined with a multichannel pulse height analyzer. The widely held misinterpretation of the frequency distribution curves of the Coulter Counter is pointed out, and the problems of the curves are examined in the light of contradictory publications.
