Leukocyte reserves of newborn infants

I. Observations during exchange transfusions

Blut Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary and Conclusions

Leukocyte reserves of seven newborn infants have been estimated during therapeutic exchange transfusion, which had effected a leukopheresis. The results will be summarized at the end of the second paper [24], together with data on the restoration of new leukocyte circulating levels after the completion of the exchange transfusion. It then will be possible to conclude whether thetotal leukocyte storage pools had been estimated during ET, or whether additional undetected cell supplies had existed.
