Summary

Based on dissections, angiograms, frozen sections, anatompathologic examination, and CT reconstructions, this anatomic study demonstrates the potential causes of compression of the superior gluteal artery (SGA) at the level of the gluteal canal. Findings suggest the existence of an osseofibromuscular trap responsible for stenosis of the SGA.
