The study of thermally stimulated short-circuit currents in modified Pb(Zr, Ti)O3

  • Published:
Czechoslovak Journal of Physics B Aims and scope

Abstract

Some experimental results are presented on the study of the influence of small additions of Fe2O3, MnO2 (acceptor type) and La2O3 (donor type), into Pb(Zr0·60Ti0·40)O3 solid solutions on their thermally stimulated short-circuit currents in the temperature interval of 150 to 600 °C. The observed effects may be explained on the basis of interactions between an external electric polarizing field, charged carriers and localized energy levels and traps which are present in the forbidden gap of Pb(Zr, Ti)O3 in the course of and after the polarization (during ageing).
