Abstract
The nuclear statistical fluctuations of the excitation curves with the randomly distributed background were studied. The sensibility of the coefficientb(x), relating the number of peaks and a mean level widthΓ as a function of the relative distancex of measured points, to the presence of background is expressed by a formula. The shape of the functionb(x) is confirmed by the analysis of the generated excitation curves.
