Abstract

We apply group representations to boundary value and eigenvalue problems in certain domains without classical symmetry. The transformation group does not act on the domain itself, but rather on the admissible functions defined in it.

In Part A we investigated domains of the first type, in Part B those of the second and third types. Here in Part C we give some numerical applications, especially to finite difference equations. We decompose the original problem into several partial problems, corresponding to the different symmetry classes. This decomposition reduces essentially the number of unknowns.

3. Typ betrachtet.
