Abstract
The paper describes the measurement of an electron density of the plasma generated by means of helical slow-down structures at microwave frequencies inside glass tubes of different diameters. Besides, the efficiency of an absorption of the microwave energy in a plasma column on the magnitude of a confining static magnetic field is given. Obtained results can be used for design of microwave sources of the plasma.
