Abstract
The relaxation process of a coherent excitonic state in substitutional alloys has been investigated with respect to the possibility of a quasiparticle description. It has been found that the relaxation function has a character of damped oscillations split in the course of time withk-dependent damping energies and relaxation times. The quasiparticle description is possible almost from the beginning of the relaxation process in “amalgamation” type of crystals for smallk and for larget also in “persistence” type of crystals for smallk as well.
