Abstract

The temperature dependence of the Seebeck coefficient (in region 300–900 K) and the lattice constants of Nd2−x CexCuO4−y (x=0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15) with different oxygen content were measured. The value of S is always negative and it decreases with both Ce content and oxygen non-stoichiometry. At a certain concentration of Ce and oxygen in the material, the Seebeck coefficient becomes temperature-independent.
