Abstract

The second harmonic pulse train from a mode-locked Nd∶YAG Self-Filtering Unstable Resonator has been compressed by a factor of ≈ 2.3 using Raman backscattering. Single pulses of 7.4 picoseconds atλ=0.68Μm and with 70 percent success probability have been obtained.
