A note on the viscous damping of a pendulum

Zusammenfassung

Eine obere Schranke für die Dämpfung der kleinen Schwingungen eines Pendels wird für den Fall erhalten, dass die Dämpfung durch eine zähe, in einem am Pendel angebrachten Gefäss enthaltene Flüssigkeit verursacht wird. Diese Schranke gilt für ein beliebiges Flüssigkeitsvolumen, vorausgesetzt, dass dessen Trägheitsmoment bezüglich desjenigen des Pendels klein ist.
