This paper is aimed at providing a new method of the numerical solution of the Hallén's equation for the thin cylindrical antenna. Essentially, the method is a combination of the well known polynomial approximation for the current distribution along the antenna and a semi-polynomial approximation for the kernel in the Hallén's equation which leads to integrals in closed form suitable for the rapid and accurate numerical calculations.
