Ein Überblick wird gegeben über die allgemeinere Theorie, die entsteht, wenn man für die makroskopische quasistationäre Elektrodynamik nicht Materialkonstante (Permittivität, Permeabilität), sondern eindeutige Materialfunktionen (Elektrisierungsfunktion, Magnetisierungsfunktion) als empirisch gegebene (gemessene) Materialeigenschaften zu Grunde legt.

A survey is given of the more general theory which comes out if for the macroscopic quasistationary electrodynamics not characteristic constants of the material (permittivity, permeability), but material functions (electrization function, magnetization function are assumed als empirically supported (measured) properties.
