Abstract
We study the radial splittings of mesons (from light to heavy) in a non-relativistic potential model. We find that the main features of the splittings can be explained by a linear confining potential and discuss expected deviations, as well as predict the radial excitations of\(Q\bar q\) systems such asD *′,F *′ andB *′.
