Observations on children who suffer from dwarfism

  • Published:
Psychiatric Quarterly Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Two cases of children with different types of dwarfism were presented, along with references to other children in a group or 12 individuals. General observations were made on the group as a whole, and certain assumptions concerning their personality structure were advanced. Distinctions were drawn between the personality characteristics seen in children with hypopituitary disease versus those with the so-called constitutional type of dwarfism. Correlations with general personality theory were made.
