Summary
The case of a man with an unusual phobia is described. Use of separate names for individual phobias is defended with reference to choice of treatment. We chose systematic desensitization as the ideal management, but for reasons described it was not possible to use it. Instead, one of the mono-amine oxidase inhibitors was prescribed, with only partial success.
