Résumé
Les données classiques concernant la portion rétro-gassérienne du nerf trijumeau (nervus trigeminus) chez l'homme, se sont complétées depuis une quinzaine d'années de détails morphologiques apportés par les techniques microneurochirurgicales. Après avoir rappelé les données classiques, la valeur de ces données nouvelles sera envisagée à la lumière d'une étude personnelle portant sur 40 racines.
Seront particulièrement analysés:
-
- le rapport entre l'aspect fasciculé du nerf et sa somatotopie.
-
- l'existence d'anastomoses entre les racines motrice (radix motoria) et sensitive (radix sensoria).
-
- l'angle de l'émergence de la portion rétro-gassérienne avec l'axe longitudinal du tronc cérébral.
-
- l'étude analytique et la valeur anatomo-fonctionnelle des radicelles comprises entre la racine motrice et la racine sensitive à la jonction radiculo-pontique du nerf, regroupées sous le terme de pars intermedia par Janetta (1967).
