Herr Prof. G.Barger, Edinburgh, dem ich seinerzeit zum Vergleiche eine Probe unseres bei 41° schmelzenden synthetisch hergestellten Indolinons zugesendet hatte, teilte mir unlängst brieflich mit, daß HerrEdg. Stedman durch Reduktion dieses Indolinons eine Base erhielt, deren kristallisiertes Perchlorat identisch war mit dem Perchlorat des Indolinols, das von ihm ausp-Äthoxymethylphenylhydrazon des Methyläthylazetaldehydes durch die Einwirkung von alkoholischer Salzsäure gewonnen wurde.
