Abstract
A wide set of recent data onJ/Ψ decays is analysed in terms of a rather general phenomenological model in an attempt to uncover gluoniumgg contaminations in the η and/or η′ mesons. The data include the (gluon rich)J/Ψ decays into pseudoscalar (P) and vector (V) mesons,J/Ψ→PP andPV, as well asJ/Ψ→ηγ and η′γ. The model incorporatesSU(3)-breaking effects, electromagnetic and strong contributions, and corrections to the latter ones. A reasonable description is achieved in terms of pureq \(\bar q\) η and η′ mesons. Gluonium contaminations do not seem to be present or, at least, are not required.
