On the production of neutral Higgs bosons in the Weinberg-Salam model with two Higgs doublets

Abstract

In the Weinberg-Salam model with two Higgs doublets the production of neutral Higgses is studied at high energies. Ine ⁺ e ⁻-annihilationH ⁰(0⁻)h(0⁺) Higgs pairs can be more frequently created onZ resonance than the stateZh. At 10–20 GeV Higgs masses the yield of μ⁺ μ⁻ h's is about the same in both cases, but fromH ⁰h much more τ⁺ τ⁻ h,$c\bar ch,b\bar bh$ can occur. Γ(Z→H ⁰h)=76 MeV around Higgs masses of 10 GeV. Production of τ⁺τ⁻,$c\bar c,b\bar b$ pairs is preferred in the decay of a realZ into$hf\bar f$ via a virtualH ⁰ at low Higgs masses. The energy spectra of Higgses in the decays viaH ⁰ orZ are considerably different. The predictions are sensitively dependent on mixing angles.
