Conclusions
A model of interpenetrating components was used for describing the deformation of porous bodies under uniaxial compression. We derived the relationships between the current (actual) value of porosity and the axial deformation, which satisfactorily agree with the experimental data obtained on the densification of the aluminosilicate refractories deformed under a high-temperature creep regime right up to the point of almost-complete elimination of the open porosity.
