Conclusions
The problem of cooling fused and cast parts in a unidimensional approximation under conditions of a blurred phase transition of the molten material into the crystalline state was solved.
Means of increasing the quality of corundum blocks, including preservation of the hot top in cooling, an increase in the depth of cooling of the parts before placing them in the cooling box, and preheating of the cooling box insulation, were determined.
The desirability was shown of changing the existing method by replacement of the cooling boxes with specialized cooling equipment.
