Zur Beschreibung der rheologischen Eigenschaften konzentrierter Polystyrol-Lösungen

Zusammenfassung

Es wurden Messungen der Viskosität und der ersten Normalspannungsdifferenz (Querviskosität) an konzentrierten Polystyrollösungen in Toluol durchgeführt. Die Meßergebnisse werden anhand der modifizierten Theorie vonTanner-Lodge analysiert. Der Einfluß der Biegsamkeit der Ketten und der Homogenität des Molekulargewichts auf die rheologischen Eigenschaften der Lösung wird aufgrund dieser Theorie diskutiert.

Summary

Measurements of viscosity and the first normal stress coefficient (cross-viscosity) were carried out with concentrated solutions of polystyrene in toluene. The results are analysed by means of the modified theory ofTanner-Lodge. The influence of the rigidity of the macromolecular chains and of the molecular weight distribution on the rheological properties of its solutions are discussed in terms of this theory.
