Richard L. Sutherland, M.D., is a psychiatrist in private practice in Oakland, California, and a lecturer at Church Divinity School of the Pacific (Episcopal) and General Theological Union, Berkeley. He was a member of the American Psychiatric Association's Committee on Religion and Psychiatry and a founding member of the East Bay Chapter of the Academy.
