René Dubos, Ph. D., Professor of Pathology and Microbiology at Rockefeller University, New York, was assistant, associate, and member of the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research from 1928 to 1956. Recipient of many honorary degrees and awards for scientific achievement, he is widely known as an author and a seminal thinker about man's relation to the natural world.
