Summary
The conformation of methylenes in amorphous and crystalline phases as a function of cristallinity of polyhexamethylene terephtalate is investigated by infrared spectrophotometry.
Theγ relaxation mechanism of several polyterephtalates can be explained using two componentsγ 1 andγ 2 . They involve respective motions of gauche and trans methylenes in the amorphous phase.
