Der Schmelzpunkt liegt um 145°. Das Krystallisationsvermögen ist ein geringes. Das mikroskopische Bild scheint auf monokline tafelförmige Krystalle zu deuten, welche zum Teil unvollkommen ausgebildet sind. Charakteristisch für die Substanz ist die grüne Fluoreszenz der alkoholischen Lösungen.
