Abstract
A study has been made on the rheological control of the process of homogeneous polymerization of the vinyl monomers. It has been established that in certain critical conversion regions drastic changes in the properties of the polymerizing systems occur, namely, an increase in the intensity of growth of initial viscosity and manifestation of non-Newtonian behavior which then becomes very pronounced, accompanied by high elasticity. As conversion becomes more pronounced, the systems at the end of the polymerization process pass to rubbery or glassy state. Diagrams of the structural-rheological states of homogeneously polymerizable systems are proposed.
