Hydropitchblende and urgite — New hydrous uranium oxides

Abstract

A description is given of two new uranium minerals discovered in the USSR in 1947 — hydropitchblende and urgite. These minerals are hydrous uranium oxides and are members of a single series in the successive oxidation and hydrauon of pitchblende. They are compounds of varying composition.
