Summary

  1. 1.

The diffusion potential, which appears when two thin water films of different concentrations of electrolyte are put into contact, was denominated “Film concentration potential” (F.C.P.) and the method of its determination is described.

  2. 2.

The F.C.P. is considered in function: a) of the type and the concentration of electrolyte and b) of the quantity of water (solution) contents.

  3. 3.

The similar nature of the „Membrane concentration potential“ and „Film concentration potential“ was emphasized.
