Summary

The coagulation of hydrous ferric oxide sol of varying average particle size has been studied in presence of gelatin for potassium sulphate as the coagulant. The effect of temperature and pH of gelatin solution has been noted. It has been concluded that the surface forces are modified in the presence of gelatin causing sensitisation.

Zusammenfassung

Die Koagulation von wäßrigem Eisenoxidsol mit unterschiedlicher mittlerer Teilchengröße und Kaliumsulfat als Koagulator wird auf Temperatur und pH der Gelatinelösung untersucht. Die Oberflächenkräfte werden durch die Gelatine im Sinne einer Sensibilisierung modifiziert.
