59Fe-Untersuchungen bei der Marmorknochenkrankheit

Zusammenfassung

Die Pathogenese der Anämie bei der Marmorknochenkrankheit ist nicht einheitlich. Bei schweren Formen ist die Klärung der Beteiligung der Milz — Verstärkung der Hämolyse oder Organ der extramedullären Erythropoese — von entscheidender therapeutischer Bedeutung. Dies war der Anlaß, bei zwei Kindern mit der malignen Form der Osteopetrose die Erythropoese mit59Fe zu untersuchen. Dabei ergab sich, daß eine mit der Untersuchungsmethodik faßbare Hämolyse nicht bestand. Die Milz zeigte aber eine „erythrogenetische Kurve“ im Gegensatz zum Knochenmark, bei dem die erythropoetische Aktivität stark vermindert war. Daher war bei diesen beiden Patienten die Vornahme einer Splenektomie kontraindiziert.
