Summary
The incorporation of 3H-thymidine and 14C-orotic acid into kidney DNA and RNA of female white mice was scarcely influenced by a four day treatment with 10 mg/kg respectively 50 mg/kg caffeine given 4 times daily. On the contrary, the increase of the incorporation of 3H-thymidine into DNA induced by the testosterone derivative metenolone-acetate was diminished by the small dose of caffeine and completely inhibited by the higher dose.
