Cytostatic and syncytostatic effects on normal tissues with L-Asparaginase

Summary

L-Asparaginase is delaying the healing of punched holes in the ears of mice with and without additional irradiation or medication with other cytostatic drugs, and all phases of the reaction of mouse tails partly irradiated with necrotising doses. These findings are probably in connection with an inhibition of a protein synthesis accompanying mesenchymal reactions.

Zusammenfassung

L-Asparaginase verzögert die Stanzlochheilung in Mäuseohren, dies auch kumulativ zu Röntgenbestrahlung oder Medikation anderer Cytostatica, und verlangsamt den Ablauf aller Phasen der Strahlenreaktion mit nekrotisierender Dosis teilbestrahlter Mäuseschwänze, was mit einer Hemmung der diese mesenchymalen Prozesse begleitenden Proteinsynthese in Zusammenhang gebracht werden könnte.
