Summary
The results show that vitamin D increased tubular phosphate reabsorption in normal rats as well as in parathyroidectomized rats and in rats with rickets. With continuous infusion of vitamin D the increase resorption once again decreased after 3–4 hours. The change of reabsorption is independent of the function of the parathyroid glands.
