Zusammenfassung
Die Bestimmung der 3-Methoxy-4-hydroxyphenylessigsäure, einem Abbauprodukt des DOPA bzw. Dopamin, im Urin von 25 Fällen mit Neuroblastom ergab bei 17 Fällen erhöhte Werte. 24 von 25 Fällen zeigten eine erhöhte Ausscheidung der 3-Methoxy-4-hydroxymandelsäure, einem Abbauprodukt des Noradrenalin. An Hand von drei Beispielen wurde die Ausscheidung dieser beiden Phenolcarbonsäuren vor und nach Operation und Strahlenbehandlung aufgezeigt. Bei 5 Fällen mit benignen neuralen Tumoren wurden normale Werte für beide Katecholamin-Metabolite registriert.
