Solandri×truncata is not mentioned, since at that time the latter species was considered a variety ofN. fusca and its hybrids were included with those ofN. fusca, though really the last-named is negligible as a parent of a group virtually identical with ×N. soltrunc.

Lotsy, J. P. 1925. Evolution considered in the Light of Hybridization. Christchurch; besides containing much pertinent to natural hybrids byLotsy, there is a full list contributed byL. Cockayne of New Zealand wild hybrids, the number being estimated at 208, but since then a good many more have been discovered; fiveNothofagus hybrids are cited as valid.
