Zusammenfassung
Bei 60 Neugeborenen mit Hyperbilirubinämien verschiedener Ursache wurde der Gehalt an freien Fettsäuren (FFS) im Serum bestimmt und mit dem gesunder Neugeborener und Kleinkinder verglichen. Bei gesunden Neugeborenen ist der Serum-FFS-Gehalt erhöht, sinkt während des ersten Trimenons ab und erreicht zu Beginn des zweiten Trimenons einen Wert, der dann während des ganzen Kindesalters konstant bleibt. Mit Zunahme der Bilirubinkonzentration steigen bei Neugeborenen mit Hyperbilirubinämie die Serum-FFS weiter an. Als mögliche Ursachen für die FFS-Vermehrung bei Neugeborenen und die Beziehungen zwischen Bilirubin-und FFS-Gehalt im Serum werden insbesondere die funktionelle Unreife der Neugeborenenleber und ihre zusätzliche Belastung durch das vermehrte Bilirubinangebot diskutiert.
