Über einen empfindlichen katalytischen Nachweis von Niob und Tantal

Zusammenfassung

Die vonF. Feigl aufgefundene Fähigkeit von Persäurebildnern, die normalerweise zu Tetrathionat führende Umsetzung zwischen Thiosulfat und Wasserstoffsuperoxyd unter Sulfatbildung abzulenken, läßt sich auch zum Nachweis von Niob und Tantal verwenden, da diese Erdsäuren gleichfalls Persäuren zu bilden vermögen. Durch diese Katalysenreaktion lassen sich bei Verwendung eines geeigneten Reaktionsgemisches an der Bildung von Bariumsulfat in 4 ccm Lösung 0,2γ Nb und 0,4γ Ta erkennen. Komplexe Niob- und Tantalverbindungen reagieren in gleicher Weise.

F. Feigl has found that substances forming per-acids are able to divert the reaction which takes place between thiosulphate and hydrogen peroxide, and normally leads to tetrathionate. Instead of the latter, sulphate is formed. That behaviour can also be used for detecting columbium and tantalum since these earth acids, likewise, are able to form per-acids. By means of that catalytic reaction, 0,2γ Nb and 0,4γ Ta can be recognised by formation of barium sulphate in 4 cc. of solution, if an appropriate reaction mixture is used. Complex columbium and tantalum compounds react in the same way.

F. Feigl trouva que les per-acidifients font dévier la réaction des thiosulfates avec le peroxyde d'hydrogène, menant normalement à la formation de tétrathionate, en formant des sulfates. Les auteurs employèrent cette réaction pour le décèlement du niobium et du tantale, ces terres étant de même des peracidifients. A l'aide de cette réaction catalysée on peut déceler 0,2γ de Nb et 0,4γ de Ta dans 4 ccm de solution, par la formation de sulfate de baryte. Les combinaisons complexes du niobium et du tantale réagissent de même manière.
