Abstract
We present the photometric results of Hipparcos satellite for the first 1.5 year of the mission. For this period, the satellite gave numerous (20 to 120) photometric measurements of 120000 stars. More precisely, we describe: the precision, the capability to find periods with respect to the specific sampling of the satellite (based on simulated data), some examples of variable stars, and finally a general description of stellar variability across the HR diagram.
