Die Wirkung von Erythromycin in Kombination mit anderen Antibiotica auf Escherichia Coli

Zusammenfassung

An vier verschiedenen Escherichia Colistämmen, die alle mehr oder weniger starke Erythromycin-Resistenz aufwiesen, wurde der Einfluß von Erythromycin in Kombination mit Chloramphenicol, Oxytetracyclin und Streptomycin geprüft. Erythromycin ist in der Lage — allerdings im allgemeinen erst durch höhere Konzentrationen — bei Einwirkung über 96 Std die Vermehrung resistenter Varianten zu verzögern. In der Kombination mit Streptomycin wird eine starke Potenzierung beobachtet; die Kontrolle der Absterbegeschwindigkeit zeigt, daß ein bactericider Effekt eingetreten ist, während die Kombinationen mit Chloramphenicol und Oxytetracyclin vorwiegend zu einer Bakteriostase führten. Ein durch Erythromycin hervorgerufener Antagonismus ist in keinem Fall beobachtet worden.
