Abstract

Measurements of the Haas-van Alphen Dingle temperatures per atomic percent solute have been obtained for seven different cyclotron orbits in dilute alloys of nickel, germanium and gold in copper. The measured values have been inverted using a Fourier series representation for τ −1 k to determine the variation of the local scattering rate over the Fermi surface for each species of solute.
