Conclusions

  1. 1.

Syntheses are reported for the first mesionic compounds with a carbon-transition metal σ-bond, namely, σ-sidnonyl-η-cyclopentadienyldicarbonyliron.

  2. 2.

The capacity of sidnones with a C-Fe bound to undergo cycloaddition with the dimethyl ester of acetylenedicarboxylic acid to give σ-pyrazolyl-η-cyclopentadienyldicarbonyliron was demonstrated.
