Conclusions
A long-range effect of the nitrogen unshared pair on the direct13C-1H coupling constants is seen in the case of approximation of the corresponding proton and heteroatom to a distance on the order of their Van der Waals radii. The magnitude of this effect decreases with increasing averaged ionization potential of the nitrogen unshared electron pair.
