Conclusions
Bis(trimethoxysilyl)-, bis(methyldimethoxysilyl)-, and bis(vinyldimethoxysilyl)acetylenes were obtained by the reaction of bis(bromomagnesium)acetylene with Si(OMe)4 and RSi(OMe)3. Their reaction with MeMgl led to replacement of the methoxy groups by methyl ones at both silicon atoms.
